AOWD COURSE

Rescue Course

Before beginning the course, students receive a copy of the Open Water Diver's manual for a pre-course study, enabling them to read in their own time and speed and to prepare themselves with out class room stress for the task's ahead. Concentrating on the first 3 lessons. This done we are ready to go.

The second day is normally reserved for class room lessons, each module is accompanied by 30 minute video shown at the  end of the class. If everybody is comfortable it is time to start breathing under water, this is done in the pool. We start with a thorough lecture about scuba equipment and it's  assembly before we do the first exercises in shallow water. In between there are breaks and time for lunch.

On the third day we cover the remaining theory lessons and complete the practical exercises  in the pool.

On the fourth day we go Diving - participating in a full day boat trip. Of course we will stay in protected lagoons with shallow water and sandy bottom. Here at a depth between 8 and 12 meters the skills learned in the class room and the pool are practiced and rehearsed in the open water, other than that there will be time to snorkel, relax and enjoy the day, there are no more test's to complete.

.

Last day - finally the course is finished, there are only 2 more open water dives to do and this is pure enjoyment. In the evening everybody will receive their Diving certificate and Logbook. Most everybody is ready to celebrate the occasion in the Liquid Lounge at the beach.
